The Community Engagement Coordinator is a champion for fair and equal access to cinema. They work to ensure that as many people as possible can access GFT and engage with and benefit from participation in our programmes. The role specifically focuses on understanding the cultural needs of our local community, people who face systemic inequalities and disadvantage and people currently under-represented in our audiences.

Glasgow Film Festival (GFF) is looking for a Database Officer to oversee the flow of information captured in our festival database, Filmchief, and used by various teams to coordinate the festival. Filmchief is a data management tool used by GFF to record and manage all film, delegate and volunteer information.
This is a key role within our Festival Operations team. The Database Officer will work closely with the Programming, Industry, Press and Guest Services teams to ensure all information in Filmchief is captured, entered correctly in a timely manner, correct and accessible to the wider festival team. They will also play a key role in the accreditation process for all festival industry, press and filmmaker delegates, designing the application form and providing regular updates / reports to the relevant team to track the progress of applications.
The ideal candidate will have an organised approach with meticulous attention to detail. They will have strong communication and problem-solving skills, experience using databases and able to manage their workload effectively. Knowledge of the film festival world and, ideally, some familiarity with Glasgow Film Festival, is desirable.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to gain experience in festival or cultural events and develop their skills in data management.

Glasgow Film Festival (GFF)’s industry conference is a 5-day event that takes place annually each March during the festival. Taking place at Social Hub in the Merchant City area of Glasgow, the conference is a mix of panels, workshops, spotlight in conversations, networking, press and industry screenings.
The successful applicant will support the Industry Manager in the planning and delivery of events that connect and support the Scottish, UK and International filmmaking community. They will be expected to liaise with prospective speakers, identifying their travel and accommodation needs, and coordinate event requirements with the venue. During the conference they will be expected to be working at the venue, as a point of contact for professionals engaged to deliver events, and ensure the venue is set up to requirements. This role must work collaboratively to ensure a smooth and effective operation and provide the best possible support to attending delegates and guests.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in planning and delivering events, with excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, plus administrative experience. They will also be adept at managing competing workloads effectively. This is a fast-paced rewarding role, key to continuing GFF’s positive reputation and relationships with screen professionals from across the UK and internationally.

The GFF Press Team consists of four people who work within the wider GFF Marketing Team, headed by Glasgow Film’s Head of Marketing and Communications. GFF Press Coordinators will play a key role in the promotion of Glasgow Film Festival 2026, managing requests from the media and working proactively to support attending press with all the assets, information and access to interviewees needed to ensure significant positive coverage of the festival and it’s programme of films and events
The post-holder, along with the other three members of the GFF Press Team, will also react quickly and positively to media requests for information; be a key part of staffing the festival red carpet events; help to run press junkets and photocalls; work with the Scottish Press Manager and UK Press Manager to ensure the obligations of press partnerships are met; and assist with the monitoring and reporting of media coverage of the festival.

This post-holder will have responsibility for leading on social media and niche marketing, ensuring the festival reaches a wide audience, and grows attendance and brand awareness. The post holder will also be responsible for delivering consistent branded assets for the festival venues and UK-wide partner cinemas. Reporting to the GFF Marketing Coordinator, the post holder will work closely with colleagues in the festival and marketing teams to gather, create and plan social media content required for marketing the film festival’s programme of events and screenings.
Working with the GFF Venue Operations Coordinator, the post holder will lead on gathering venue branding and asset requirements, commissioning them and delivering them.
